It irritates me to see people upset about a 20+ year old item showing wear. Being upset that there is OEM stickers and casing that weren’t replaced is childish. If you don’t care about OEM and want to just replace everything with aftermarket parts then you aren’t buying a gameboy….

Tip: Twist the wires together before tinning if going on one pad. Also use more flux.

Back then this would,ve been definitely cool but at the other hand who in the right mind would ever do unless you and your friends were a huge gba fan and did had deep pockets to pay those phone bills, also since you had to connect a phoneline cable to it to make a connection, the risk of loosing a phone connection is big since you will also probably shake your gba while using it, Also they should,ve used the gba headphone out instead for oudio out while on the unit itself there should,ve only a microphone input, i found it just stupid how many companies did bypassed the gba sound capabilities and to be honest this thing is nothing more then just a gimmick trying to be cool to show other peoples that you were a huge gba fan but that’s it.

The exterior of my nintendo is exactly like that, I might want to think about doing a reparation like this one... Edit: just watched the rest of the video, no way I can do that, props to you man that was amazing

Probably doesn't help that you're using such a large soldering tip and one not shaped well for this application. I prefer something like a T18-BR02 for this kind of work, but if you want a straight tip for whatever reason then the T18-I is also good. Use a good flux like Kingbo RMA-218 and an SnPb solder and you'll be a lot more confident doing microsoldering work in no time.

Even at 2 times the speed this still seem really slow
